Five Pillars Philosophy
Today’s healthcare marketplace requires that each person’s skills be utilized to drive on-going, sustainable improvement. To achieve that improvement, organizations must provide their staff with educational and training opportunities to empower and engage them in the continuous journey toward maximizing performance.
We refer to this as creating Lean Culture. To successfully embark on developing an organization geared to continuous improvement, leadership and the staff must effectively weave together four key principles: workforce development through education and training; workforce empowerment to achieve continuous improvement; employee empowerment to carry out performance monitoring and sustainment; and staff recognition via Lean certification to reinforce the commitment to the process.
The Time Wise Management Systems “Five Pillar” model outlines our philosophy of what is important, where it fits in the Lean Culture scheme and how the systematic progression through each “pillar” builds a successful foundation for developing an organization that maximizes its potential.
Industry analysts agree that for Lean to succeed there must be organization-wide leadership committed to creating an environment where every employee is engaged in Lean thinking, problem-solving and continuous improvement.
